Aluminum sheet thicknesses range widely, from a few microns (μm) to several feet (ft), and can be customized. The specific choice depends on the application scenario. Ultra-thin aluminum sheet (0.001-0.1mm) is suitable for high-precision applications such as electronic components (e.g., flexible circuits), optical coatings, and thin-film solar cells. Its advantages lie in its conductivity (resistivity ≤ 2.8μΩ·cm) and corrosion resistance (salt spray test ≥ 500h). Common industrial thicknesses range from 1-50mm, and are used in automotive lightweighting (30% weight reduction), architectural curtain walls (wind pressure resistance ≥ 5kPa), and aerospace structural components (tensile strength ≥ 300MPa), balancing strength and processability. Ultra-thick aluminum sheet (>50 mm) wird hauptsächlich in schweren Maschinen (Druckwiderstand über 1000 mPa) oder Schimmelpilzherstellung (Härte größer oder gleich 80 HB) verwendet und kann durch Wärmebehandlung weiter verbessert werden.
